There's nothing we can say about Adam Goodes. Adam is more than eloquent on his own behalf, both with his words and with his achievements. Dual Brownlow winner, dual Premiership winner, and now Australian of the Year, Adam is an inspiration to us all: indigenous Australians, football players & football fans of every colour and stripe alike. We're all proud of Adam. Here at The Art of the Game, we're also proud of this poster. It won't change the face of footy in the way Adam has, but we hope it might inspire you a little.
Artist’s Comments: “I approached this originally as a black and white stencil – the sort of iconic image you’d see tucked away on the corner of a Melbourne alleyway. Only once I’d got the face and the silhouette right did I build in the colour and some extra detail to finish. It had that directness and strength from the very first draft, and all I tried to do throughout the whole process was not to lose what was there originally…
