The Dustin Fletcher Poster

Sorry, this print is no longer available.

Dustin Fletcher is of course a living AFL legend. Among the many records he holds from his 21 years at Essendon are:

  • The oldest man playing AFL
  • The Essendon games record
  • The fourth overall AFL games record (soon to be third)
  • The father-son games record
  • The most watched AFL player ever (based on crowd attendance)

Anyway, there’s a lot of them and most of them are even true. He is also the first AFL player to have his own Art of the Game print. It’s only a small milestone for Dustin, but it’s one we’re very proud of. We think it’s about time that iconic players got the memorable  images they deserve. That's why we're calling it THE Dustin Fletcher Poster.

So here’s a picture that’s pure Dustin, pure Essendon and pure celebration. Because he’s racked up so many numbers in his career, we couldn’t resist putting some of them across the bottom (jumper number; first year player, current year played, and current number of games played).

And because Dustin will continue on his record-breaking streak, that bottom right-hand corner of the poster will keep ticking so that it shows the number of games that Dustin has played at the moment you buy your copy. If you want the equal 3rd AFL games record with Robert Harvey (383), it looks like you'll need to get in the week after Anzac Day. If you want him breaking that record (384), then the week after will likely be the time to get your copy. Or maybe there'll simply be a week coming up that's special for you or an Essendon fan close to you.

We’re hoping Dustin will get to 400 games, but given we’re only going to print 100, we’re expecting the poster probably won’t.
